Dogs & Cats suffer from both seasonal and environmental skin allergies just like humans do. There are two ways to find out if and what your pet is allergic to:

Food Allergy Trial - This method requires you to purchase and feed strictly hypo-allergenic dog food and treats to your dog. You cannot feed ANYTHING else for a period of 12-16 weeks. By communicating with your veterinarian and recording the changes in your pets allergy symptoms, you will be able to pin point what foods your pet can tolerate and what may help prevent skin flair ups.

Blood Serum Testing - ASK YOUR VET about serum allergy testing. With a blood sample, you will know which one of the identifiable allergens your pet is allergic to in the environment. Your pet can be allergic to things like grass, weeds, pollen, house dust, mites, storage mold, all soooo many more allergens that surround us.

*If your pet has hair loss, fleas, skin mites, hot spots, discoloration to the skin, redness to the skin, hives, or swelling - Your Pet NEEDS medical attention.

*If we find one of these problems - we will bring it to your attention. We may also ask you to bring your pet in on another day - a day that we can make them the last pet of the day. This is to ensure we can clean up properly before the next pet visits in the grooming salon.
